Since its founding in 2000, ASTARAS has become an integral part of the IBG Group’s global network. The Florida site demonstrates how customer proximity and long-term presence in key markets are essential to international competitiveness.

Recognizing the potential of the U.S. market early on, the IBG Group established its first American production company in 1976. Today, the ABICOR GROUP Americas includes six companies across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Brazil — employing over 260 professionals, including 168 in Florida and Maryland.

Technological excellence: U.S.-made tungsten heavy metal alloys

A major milestone for ASTARAS was the expansion into high-performance tungsten alloys and the establishment of its own manufacturing facility in Florida.

The new plant manufactures heavy metal alloys, fully produced in the U.S. and meeting the highest standards of quality, performance, and compliance. These alloys are critical for industries such as automotive, medical technology, and precision engineering.

Investing in the future – creating jobs and growth in Pinellas County

Operating in multi-shift, 24/7 production, the Florida facility will create approximately 20 new jobs in manufacturing, logistics, and technical services.
