Since its foundation in 1998, SWT has developed into a successful and high-performing site within the ABICOR GROUP. Today, the company employs around 270 people and manufactures tungsten electrodes, welding accessories, as well as tungsten components and components for the cutting industry.

As the site has been continuously expanded, production capacities and infrastructure have steadily grown over the years. Today, the entire site covers approximately 20,000 m². With the inauguration of an additional building in July 2026, a significant step was taken towards the site’s further development and long-term future.

The new building has a total floor area of approximately 8,800 m². Of this, around 2,850 m² are dedicated to production areas, 1,800 m² to storage areas, and 3,510 m² to administration and testing areas. The building is complemented by approximately 600 m² of modern break and social facilities. A total of around RMB 20 million was invested in the new building and its equipment.

What is particularly remarkable is the short implementation time: from approval, planning and construction through to commissioning, the entire project took just eight months. This impressive achievement underlines the company’s consistent commitment to the sustainable and future-oriented development of the site.

The new production area is equipped with state-of-the-art CNC machines, precision cutting machines and hydraulic presses. Together with the modern office and other work areas, this provides around 80 employees with contemporary workplaces and optimal working conditions. State-of-the-art measuring and testing equipment also ensures that the high-quality requirements for the products are reliably met.

As at the other sites of the ABICOR GROUP, digital and automated solutions are key focuses at SWT. They support daily workflows, optimize processes and create the conditions for efficient and future-oriented production.

The official opening of the new building on July 9, 2026, marked a special milestone in SWT’s history. In the presence of local management, the IBG Group and ABICOR GROUP management, as well as government representatives, this important occasion was celebrated together with the employees at the site. At the same time, the opening highlights SWT’s successful development and sends a strong signal for the site’s continued strategic direction and long-term, future-oriented development within the ABICOR GROUP.
